Is it worth using a Buggy Snuggle for a two year old?

I'm thinking of getting a Buggy Snuggle for my two year olds buggy, but I'm not sure if its a waste of money?

So is she to old for a footmuff or should I go for it?

I think if you are out a lot in the winter then it is definately worth having something to keep them warm. My 2 year old had days when he was crying because he was so cold last winter until I sorted him out. We had three school runs to do each day so were out a lot.

Deinitely! Blankets are rubbish and it will be too cold for nothing soon.

Are proper buggy snuggles really big enough for up to age 3ish like they say? I need to get a longer one for DS, the one that came with our quinny is fabulously warm but his legs are all crumpled up inside!

RockBird · 20/11/2009 21:42

I've just bought one for my 22 month old and it's got loads of room. She is a bit more picky about using it than she used to be and takes her legs out sometimes but when it's really nippy or she's sleepy she's fine in it.

I want an adult sized one for the sofa

KnitterInTheNW · 20/11/2009 22:57

lol... my sister has made herself one of those! 2 cheapy fleeces from ikea, sewn up the sides up to however far you need, hey presto!!!

Knickers0nMaHead · 20/11/2009 23:45

I have one for my dd who is 2.3 and her legs are scrunched up in it. And she isnt tall for her age.

KnitterInTheNW · 21/11/2009 07:28

Hmm, what to do... maybe I'll get a girly one first for the baby I'll be looking after for her half of the double stroller, and try him in it. Looking on ebay, they're expensive aren't they?

Actually, could one of you kind ladies measure how much room there is under the hole for the between the legs strap please?

We don't have that kind of money at the mo, especially for 2 of them! Good to know that the ebay ones will be in good condition though.

Pupabagas are 10cm longer than BS if that helps??!! My DS is 2.2 and loads of room in BS - a proper BS that is!! they are 100cm long hope that helps

my 2.4yr old and my nearly 4yr fit in my genuine buggysnuggle. pupabags are alot longer tho so may be worth looking at personally i just like the quality and fabric of buggysnuggles and think they're worth every penny.

carrielou2007 · 21/11/2009 13:04

I bought buggysnuggles (as we walk miles) when my dd was almost 2 as the ones that came with her buggies were too short and they were too short too. She is a tallie though. I bought 2 pupabags insted and they are a lot longer. I had the silver tipped furry one (yum yum yum) for dd for Disneyland Paris which is freezing and in the snow in jan and she was super cozy.

Www.pushchairs.co.uk do a fab outlast one made by alvi. It is pricey but you will be able to sell it after. It's big enough for a 5y old and the bottom zips open for shoes if you like. It's bigger than average and you can make a hood with the drawstring too. My boy loves his.

MrsBadger · 25/11/2009 11:01

dd (2.3) is driven to tears of frustration by hers, mostly because she prefers to walk and it really pins her in - I just dress her warmly and keep a fleece blanket in the basket for the rare occasion when she wants to snooze. Long socks are vital for when trousers ride up - try H&M.

If I had to do a school run (ie at speed with no option for her to walk) I might reconsider though.

sammysamsam · 26/11/2009 14:29

knitter from the crotch strap hole down to the bottom of the snuggle, the space is 13".. I have a black funky cow print one i'm selling here..

a pic of it

sammysamsam · 26/11/2009 14:29

ooh, don't have cat at the mo, but its [email protected] if interested

SoupDragon · 26/11/2009 14:29

DD (3.10) still uses hers in the car - I put it on her car seat when we have to go out at night
