Need advice on which pushchair, Maclaren, Obaby, Mama's and Papa's (I am a Libran!)

Hi all

I have managed to get a credit note( from Argos) on my travel system - limited budget of £119.99 and have to spend it there.

There are two (maybe three) that I have to choose from: ok here goes....

Mama's and Papa's beat buggy or
O Baby Atlas stroller (with the circles on!)

The other option, would be to buy second hand to use for a period of time whilst we get the money together for a Maclaren Techno XT (which Argos don't do!!).

So you can see my dilemma, could you please give me some advice, sometimes I feel totally clueless!

I have the OBaby one now, but had the Mamas and Papas pulse one beforehand which I think was better. It seemed easier to steer one handed. However, perfectly happy with OBaby , and the raincover is more durable and I can fit more in the shopping basket!

how old is DC?

i had an obaby atlas vintage v.briefly at the beginning of the year (im a maclaren girl normally!) and was v.impressed with it for the money.

the XT is in a different league tho lots of extra features...tilting hood, uv shade, adj handles, larger seat, suspension.

Ah thanks ladies, I still don't know though, I am terrible aren't I! I am looking at a second hand one tomorrow, it's a maclaren (which I hear good things about!) and then save up for the one I would like.

I just don't want to get another pooey buggy!

My DS is coming up for 8 months at the beginning of dec, does that make a difference by much then?

Again, if anyone else wants to post, please do feel free to as any advice is welcome!

Thanks. :D

I liked the look of the M&P Pipi in Argos. Obaby are very good value for the cost of them. I have got the Obaby Atlas Sport (not the circles one) wouldn't want it as a main buggy though as the seat is quite shallow and DS slouches in it. It's also quite narrow which isn't a problem now at 13 months but might be as he gets bigger. I do use it regularly but also still use my big pushchair from when he was tiny.

If the Obaby is similar to the Sport, the raincover is really easy to put on, it has velcro and little clips which are not fiddly in the slightest.

M&P Pipi

Oh yes, was going to say also - the brake is a bit useless on my Obaby, if you push it backwards when the brake is on, it comes off - this happens on buses which is not good! (though we have mistreated it a bit, bashing it around on and off a hovercraft on holiday to the IOW!) and it's quite long for an umbrella fold when folded if that is likely to be a consideration.

Hi all

Thanks for all your comments, just to let you know I have gone with the M&P beat buggy. It seems ok, will take it out for a test drive tomorrow! hee hee.xx
