Help with bugaboo footmuff

Silly question really but do brand new footmuffs come in a box or just a plastic bag???
Went to pick mine up from selfridges yesterday and it was just in a bag not sealed and to me looked 2nd hand, after questioning this they where 100% thats how they came and only the fabrics come in boxes.

May seem a silly question but they have messed me around so much ive lost complete faith!!!! Thanks

Yes, if not in a box should still be in a heat sealed plastic bag.
