Anyone else have problems with the mountain buggy basket?

I can't for the life of me work out how to attatch it so that it doesn't rub on the front wheel, and a little hole has developed because of it. Am I just being dense? If I attatch the front straps anywhere other than on the bar behind the wheel the whole basket just drags on the floor

Looking at mine the front straps fit round the fat side bars and the little metal cross bar approx 3inches from the swiveling bit iygwim. Mine is anewer adjustable handle one. HTH
