5inthebed · 15/09/2009 19:16

This is the coat I want from Next, I think the grey one rather than the black though. They had it in pink and yellow as well.

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 19:18

i really like that mel, i might get the grey myself as i think they do that in petite i need that as arms are always really long!!

No they don't......

last year he got clothes that were too small (my turn to be an ungrateful cow) in the carrier bag, not even wrapped.

DH just tells me that, shock horror, they are wanting to come over on Sunday.....I get the same "We don't know what we could get as he has so much" ever tried asking maybe?! Now there's an idea lol.

I hope they are wrapped this year.

5inthebed · 15/09/2009 19:20

Nicola! Name!

Not sure they have the pink or yellow on website. I try stay away from the website, and the shop. They had some lovely Thomas/Mr Men/Elmo/Peppa pig tops in, and I need each and every one for the boys.

mumofdjandbabies · 15/09/2009 19:21

evening ladies

I am looking for an 18-24m cosy winter coat for ds if anyone has one for sale

maxybrown · 15/09/2009 19:27

I've gone right off Next, think it's gone down hill. Not at all impressed with the boys clothes I got.

5inthebed · 15/09/2009 19:37

I love Next.
They had some lovely combat type pants in blue with darker blue stars on. I NEEEEED them for both DS2 and DS3. Its a must!

maxybrown · 15/09/2009 19:40

Oh I picked those up on Sunday to get for DS, but I put them back. there were loads of thick people in there and that maybe put me off

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 19:45

i really like Next too, they fit ds' really well.

nicolamumof3 hi can you tell me if you think luna mix would be any use on hols. Still on search for tenerife which is next week. How did you get on with the harness and the little bits that stick out of the wheels oh and the tipping up. (can you tell i have been reading reviews) Normasnockers likes hers just wondered how you got on with yours thanks

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 20:05

i loved it only sold as i needed air tyres. hood not great tho for sun protection, i'd prefer tilting hood of xt/xlr (maclaren) on hols tbh. how old again is ds? otherwise its a lovely pushchair i'd want it in travel bag tho for plane and not sure how easy this would be as not umbrella fold? lovely to push, good storage baskets and funky with different hoods and liners. i saw peacock one today and seriously hankered after mine.

basl · 15/09/2009 20:12

my son is 1yr but big. I have the shade a babe thingy so hood not too much a prob. I do have a carry bag for it. What about the floating harness. Is the seat wide. thanks

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 20:28

yes seat is wide, hate floating harness but not too bad with a liner and you have bumper bar so ok.

Talking of Next - 5in, did you get the jeans & top ok?

And talking of those jeans - has Luka not grown out of them yet Nic? I did really like those jeans, the ones they have at the min are all too bulky for DS.

scattykatty · 15/09/2009 20:44

Or those cords I feel bad for ordering the grey duffle too but the red one looked so good I couldn't help it! The mittens and the hat are just perfection

Nic did you say you had the Boden baby cords? I'm starting to like them... How come you're still buying Luka Baby Boden, isn't he 2.2 ish now?

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 20:45

no they are still quite roomy/long on him sorry they are nice i do know what you mean.

bn kaisers on ebay for £27.95 be rude not to buy one wouldn't it?

i was going to get nipper one but i want to try a kaiser

I meant dungarees, got cords on the brain!

5inthebed · 15/09/2009 20:50

I think I have Maxy.Need to collect parcel from post office as missed post man on Friday. Can't collect til Friday though!

I know what you mean by thick people in Next. I don't go to the one in town, as it is full of chav mams, I tend to use the one near me (only a 10 minute walk so pretty lethal).

Nicola, the Gap T you sent me fits ds3 lovely. He looks like such a cool dude in it.

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 20:56

oh great!! it is a lovely top.

skatty i love the cord dungies, thats why he still has baby boden, as long as i can cram him in i will!

he is 2.2yr yes, but still in 18-24m trousers probably will be for another month or two.

i have in boden the following

red check baggies (s/s 09)
grey dungarees (a/w 09)
grey star knee cords (a/w 09)
green cords (a/w 09)

the only thing about the dungarees is that the poppers between legs come undone, big design mistake to put poppers on they never had them last winter.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 15/09/2009 21:11

gree with Nicola about poppers! Although he hasn't managed to pop them open yet! Scatty I have both colours in those - get some they are GORGEOUS!! Is the Boden duffle as fitted as the pictures?

5in I understand - there were this couple taking up the WHOLE space in next next to the till queue with a big three wheeler a toddler and this baby/younger toddler that they had stripped to his nappy and trying loads of clothes on him . They were all sat on the floor in a heap.......duh.

scattykatty · 15/09/2009 21:18

OOOOH I'll have a think about the dungy tho, DS is a big boy and I wouldn't want things popping out all the time! I can't help but fell popper down the legs are a tad babyish, but they look so good I might overlook that

nicolamumof3 · 15/09/2009 21:20

yes i hate popper dungies too, never quite understood so much easier to undo straps and whip off, i had considered stitching them up tbh.

oooh just realised not spent my £10 boden voucher yet, can't decide whether to spend on me of ds' tho...
