You can phone up and have one sent to midwife if they don't have any, but i'm guessing i'll have to wait till my next appt to find out. Or just get one sent anyway, lol. The student reminded her to give me my MATB1 certificate for work, which you don't get till 24 weeks normally. You know, I still haven't sent the maternity exemption form off as I have no idea what my medical number is.

Hi does anyone now if a new buggysnuggle should have a sort of strong smell like a chemical wool smell. I have just bought one form someone and it smells really strong. Can they be machine washed?

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 12:12

shouldn't smell no? yes they can be machine washed, are you talking about the retro spot ones? they actually come up really nice after a wash.

basl · 25/08/2009 12:22

Hi nicola yeah it is new you can tell but i got it local from gumtree and this girl i bought it from is lovley. I recognise the smell. I think it maybe she has had this stored in the attic. Ny hubby's old aunty gave us a big bag of teddy bears collected as she is into collecting them from all over and when i unzipped the bag she had them in the smell was awfull. I thought it was because it had been up the attic. Well this buggysnuggle smells the same and wonder if it is because it has been stored away? Oh and Nicola you don't know anyone that has a coffee/green marsh quest do you i really like that one. thanks

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 12:28

no i don't i like that colour too. happy washing!!

enimod · 25/08/2009 13:16

hi but i doubt the lascal buggy board would fit on with a dreami or in rear mode? or would it? dont want to waste my money and get one to be disappointed-money is tight!!
thankn you

pebbles79 · 25/08/2009 13:18

It definitely fits rear facing as have seen one used like this, buggyboards actually seem to work better on a rear facing pram.

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 13:38

i often see lady in town with buggy board on her buzz with dreami on so it deffo works with dreami!

enimod · 25/08/2009 14:10

wow- thanks- do you think its the lascal maxi board youve seen- or just a normal board. as i said i darn't waste my money.thanks for the replies- if one does fir then i wont need a different rear facer!!

JigglyPiggy · 25/08/2009 14:17

afternoon all

not upto much pushchair wise. trying to reduce the numbers again but keep seeing all the lovely ideas on here and i end up tempted again!

think i might stick to trying different hoods, liners etc for the bugaboos. Really want to try out some yellow or green just got to find the fabrics.

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 14:23

it looked like the maxi to me.

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 17:13

my lovely new xt footmuff just arrived and....its grey, they sent me the wrong colour! plus the black is not available til the 4th Sept. ggrrrr, good job its not quite footmuff weather yet

5inthebed · 25/08/2009 18:02

Enomod, if you look here it tells you all the prams that fit the board, and also how good they are with the board on.

maxybrown · 25/08/2009 18:47

Anyone know of a reasonably cheap quest going? Pref with newer wheels not that I'm fussy

Got my SC linear coming tomorrow....now not sure if I want a RF so happy with my nipper and my lovely lovely star buggy snuggle....typical!! After all my fussing...sheesh.

5inthebed · 25/08/2009 19:57

Where did you get it from Maxi? I'm after a RF, quite like the SC linear

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 20:22

Maxy i might sell my quest, im fancying another nipper or something else with air tyres!!

5inthebed · 25/08/2009 20:32

Micralites are lovely Nicola. I know you're not a fan of the front wheels, but you get used to them quickly

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 20:38

its the narrowness at the top of the seat that bothers me too. i couldn't get used to the wheels on my toro!

5inthebed · 25/08/2009 20:42

Oh just get one and try it! lol

maxybrown · 25/08/2009 21:31

Twas ebay in the end. They are a fab rear facer, nice and roomy. I just think I can't be bothered....if you know what I mean? I'll see what it's like tomorrow.....ok Nic, which quest have you got again?

5inthebed · 25/08/2009 21:33

How much did you pay? First dibs if it wasn't too much

nicolamumof3 · 25/08/2009 21:35

its the quest mod in apples, charcoal with blue seat v.gorgeous!! and not as common as the black/pea green.

maxybrown · 25/08/2009 21:38

I paid £60 plus next day post so £71.99 It is the sleepover too, rather than the freeway - I saw a freeway the other day and managed to get a good look and the body looked like it had less room in it than the sleepover (I have had 2 sleepovers before...well 3 if you count the broken one )

Certainly my dear.

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/08/2009 21:42

Hey guys.
I'm feeling a little weird. I just sold a Mothercare Citilite for £51 on ebay.
Completed listings are for between 7 and around 20 with quite a few not selling.
The buyer wants to pick up so it may never happen but is that odd or what?
I have read and re-read my listing and can't find anywhere a reference to anything that would justify that amount.

maxybrown · 25/08/2009 21:46

Dunoon - sometimes freaky things just happen like that. If it is nearby and it's what they want then maybe.....I presume they contacted you which is a good sign?
