Oyster 3 for a newborn?

We have an Oyster 3 which we bought when DC1 was 3 or 4, never had a bassinet for it, had another buggy when he was a newborn.

We're expecting DC2 & info about the Oyster 3 says it's suitable from newborn because it lies flat. I can't find many pictures or videos online of newborns in the Oyster 3, has anyone on here used it from birth? I was wondering mostly about comfort (harness v. being in the bassinet) but any other thoughts are welcome!

You’ll need a bassinet for a newborn. I have this pram and no way would I put a newborn in the seat.

Ahh I had an oyster 3 for DD and loved it!! We did have the bassinet though, I wouldn’t recommend putting a newborn in the pram, I know you can because it lays flat but then you have to strap them in (not sure the straps would even go so small for a newborn) and the covers over the straps are quite bulky. Can you buy a bassinet for it?

Yeah, happy to buy a bassinet but was just wondering if I needed to. Sounds like most people avoided that (which was my inclination tbh).
