Stroller child can stand on the back of (not a buggy board)

Hi all,

I sometimes see children standing on the back of a buggy / stroller, not on a buggy board but standing on the frame of the buggy itself. Does anyone know of compact Pushchair / stroller that would accommodate this?

Reason being, my daughter is starting school in September, is diabetic and very small for her age (11 ish kilos). She tires easily and might need the seat but I’d like the option for her to stand on the back instead. We have a bump rider buggy board but it doesn’t work on our umbrella stroller.

Thanks 😊

Another alternative that works well is an out n about. My friend sits her five year old on the open hood like she's riding a horse and her toddler sits in the seat.

Cybex easy twist + 2 or something like that has a bar which you can stand on. It's not particularly comfy but a good back up option.

Would a scooter with a parent handle and seat work? Then she can stand, sit or scoot as she feels up to it.

Gosh really?! I can’t imagine it’s strong enough to do that much.
I’d also recommend an Out’n’About but with bigger child riding on the footplate over the front wheel. My kids have done this a lot. The newest model you can actually get a proper seat bit for this like scooter handles but we never had that.

Joovy caboose is one that I'm sure has a standing board at the back

Icandy Orange, the big sibling can stand on an integrated stand bit above the rear axle. Which also means it feels much lighter and more manoeuvrable than a buggy board as the weight is better distributed.

Our older one often preferred to go in the shopping basket underneath though 😂

Thanks again ladies, I’ll check those out too 👌👌

I had an Oyster Max. Used as a double first with carry cot and seat and then 2 seats. Then as DS1 grew he used to hitch a lift on the back wheel axle up until he was well into reception.
However he was quite short for his age and not particularly heavy. He had to walk uphill though. The fact it was a double may have meant it was easier to take heavier weights
