Bugaboo Fox 5 mamas!

When did your little ones change from bassinet to seat? DS is almost 12 weeks old, and is like a nosey meerkat! Sometimes he loves his bassinet but sometimes walks are so stressful as he just screams. Feel like changing it to the seat may solve my problems but Bugaboo says 6 months. 🙈

Different model but I had put a rolled up towel under the bassinet mattress because of an unsettled Newborn, I think he liked being angled up.
I put him in the seat about 5 months - he was a good size and strong, good head control.

Not sure why this is unique to bugaboo prams as most seats say 6 months but it means being able to have solid head control and sit unaided. My little one was doing this at 4 months so that's when they moved from the bassinet otherwise it was more of a danger trying to stop them rolling over and keep them lying flat.

Thank you both. My little one was 6.3kg when he was weighed last Tuesday, has pretty good head control already, and is just so interested in the world around him. Sounds like it’s just still a little bit too early for him to upgrade. Was considering getting a carrier but I’m worried about it killing my back!
