I have a 21 month year old and a 3 month year old. I have the I candy peach 7 which I loved as a single but it’s too heavy as a double. My husband brought a side by side mountain buggy which is great for days out but not for going shopping etc …. As its width is a pain. We went shopping today with my oldest on the candy’s integrated buggy board (which I love) and reins but it wasn’t fun she kept jumping off do we keep trying and hold out or do I buy a gazelle S tandem :)

There are 23 months between mine so a slightly bigger gap. Never had a double. Keep trying I think.

We had the same problem with our two at that age, I tried so many options, carriers with single buggy, buggy board, multiple doubles and the best one for nipping in and out of shops and short walks was the joie double side by side, it’s lighter than most doubles, easy to hold and get in and out the car and decent size seats. Great size basket and very reasonably price. No it’s not the best for rough terrain and long walks but for day to day it was great.

The mountain buggy is the narrowest side by side double so if that isnt working in shops for you, I don't think you'll find another that will. Im surprised though as we have a tiny Coop near us and there was a lady with a MB in there yesterday whilst i was and she seemed to be managing ok. Can you put the baby in a sling / carrier and just use the icandy in single mode when you are shopping and then use the MB the rest of the time?

I’d put the big one in a buggy, and the little one in a carrier.
