Lightweight parent facing stroller recommendations

My baby boy is 6 months old and we currently have the mamas and papas occarro travel system but it's so heavy I'm struggling to get it in and out of the car - I have to remove the seat before folding it so I can actually lift it and it's a bit of a faff.

I'm looking to get a lighter weight pushchair for everyday use but I want one that is parent facing rather than the standard world facing that most of the lightweight/compact ones seem to be. Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't need to be SUPER lightweight or compact as I'd prefer it to be sturdier than the ultra lightweight options but just something that doesn't break my back getting it in the car 🤣 I don't mind if it's another travel system type one, I just want one that's lighter than our current monstrosity 🤣 I love how easy it is to push and manoeuvre but my god it is heavy!

The problem is, generally anything facing backwards and forwards will have to have a separate frame or mechanism, which increases the weight.

We had a mountain buggy at that age. It had a parent facing carrycot that converted to parent seat but was still two part. We used it parent facing until around 9-10 months, but it was so much easier being one piece once we forward faced. And he didn’t care.

So I would suggest maybe just putting up with what you have another couple months if you really want parent facing, then just get a forward facing type which will last until 3- 4 years

Ps super light, we also have stokke yoyo. Bought for travel but used a it daily also. If we didn’t like in the countryside we would have used as only main pram.

@Dreaminginpink The Cybex Eezy S Twist range 😊 We were looking for the exact same thing and it’s one of the only ones we found that could parent face and world face. The seat has a swivel mechanism 😊
This was 4 years ago so there may be others on the market now but that’s the one we went for 😊

@Dreaminginpink I should add to this that it lies completely flat too and has a huge hood which is great 😊

We have the Joolz Hub 2 which is fairly compact and narrow, and folds into one piece with the seat either parent or world facing, and fits into the boot of our Mini with the seat unit, and at six months you probably won’t want the bassinet. There’s also a strap under the seat for carrying it. Another model we looked at was the Nina Triv Next but thought the Joolz seemed sturdier and we liked the 10 year warranty, but that’s another lightweight, reversible seat model you might want to check out.

We had a Cybex Eezy S Twist but have recently replaced it with a Nuna Triv Next, which is so so much better! Feels better made, better quality/handling/fold etc. Love it! Both parent face though!
