Babyzen / Bugaboo board

2.5 y/o with newborn on the way.
We have two buggies, babyzen yoyo and bugaboo bee. Babyzen was bought for travel but became our default due to being so light and easy to manoeuvre.

2.5 y/o hates the buggy as it is so we wouldn’t bother with a double buggy but just wondering what the board is for the babyzen and if it’s ok for a toddler that age? It’s quite flimsy and light as a buggy so I do worry about having them both on it!

Alternative is using our old bugaboo again if that board is sturdier?

I haven't got any experience of the babyzen to compare with but I loved my bugaboo board (used with the cameleon). It was such a help with two little ones, still easy to push and didn't get in the way when walking. The seat on the board was great and my toddler loved being able to sit on the back.

I also have a Bugaboo Bee and (hand-me-down) Yoyo. Second baby was born when eldest was 24m and, like you, we had mainly defaulted to the Yoyo at that point. Youngest mainly went in a sling for the first 9m, but after that we used the Bee with buggy board pretty regularly. I think I’d have struggled with both on a Yoyo as we cover quite a lot of distance and it just wouldn’t feel sturdy enough on hills and up and down kerbs. Baby three is newly here so currently doing sling/Bee/board, but will move to Bee/board/walk or scoot when they are too big to carry.

Have you thought about a lascal buggy board?
It's fairly universal, and because you can easily get a second set of connectors it would be easy to switch between your two buggys.

There is loads of them on market place so you could resell it it didn't work for you

We have the Yoyo and Bee, and we got the Bugaboo board for the Bee. The board is designed so you can walk behind the buggy, rather than off to the side, which makes steering much easier. And the extending handlebar makes a big difference, as the older child can fit inside the handle, so they are more secure, and you can hold it normally without stretching your arms. On the Yoyo there isn't really space for the child to stand as the handlebar doesn't extend. The Bee is a chunkier buggy though and there are places I won't take it where I would have taken the Yoyo (anywhere with a long flight of stairs, I can carry the Yoyo alone without taking the baby out but the Bee is too heavy).
