Buggy for big and tall 3yo?

We have an Ocarro but she’s far too big for it.
Trying to avoid joie nitro or similar umbrella fold strollers as I’ve hated pushing any that we’ve had.
I don’t mind splashing out a bit as we’ll use it daily but as we probably (hopefully) wont use it for too long so I don’t want to spend massive amounts

Baby Jogger City Mini (I prefer the GT)

Don't get a new one, get a 2nd hand one, you probably won't need it for that much longer (but my average sized 7 year old could still comfortably fit in it if needed)

Oh I’ll have a look. I do hear really good things about them!
Forgot to mention in op we do have a massive ancient running/off road buggy we’re using for her at the moment that’s brilliant at what it’s meant for but not even vaguely practical day to day 😂

Phil and teds sport, especially an older version will do up to 5years old.

Definitely BJCM - they are brill.

Or a second hand, older Britax B-Agile. My 6yo will jump into mine, he looks ridiculous but it works. Then I use it for the 3yo daily and he has plenty of space. They are like carthorses. I only paid about €30 for mine and it is properly ancient but it just keeps on and on and is lovely to push. Not sure the modern ones are as good, honestly!

I found this old thread and the version in the reviews linked here is the one I have, though mine has a bumper bar and therefore we don't generally bother with the 5 point harness.

I agree that the recline is fiddly, and because it's controlled with a strap, it was stretched out on my old battered one, but I so rarely use it that it doesn't matter. I tied a knot in the strap and put a spoon through it to hold it in place and it works well enough Grin It was actually pretty battered when I bought it in ~2020 and has suffered much abuse as I don't drive and it has been the main school run vehicle for most of the intervening time.

@BluLagoon how is the fold on it and is it heavy to lift? The three wheeler we have already weighs the same as a small tank and doesn’t fold at all 😅

@BertieBotts reading the reviews about the straps I don’t think it would work for us as she definitely couldn’t be trusted not strapped in properly. It’s a shame as it does look great otherwise!

Do people find the baby jogger has plenty of room width wise too?

The straps are OK - we use them just around the waist sometimes (DS insists "Deet belt!" Grin) Maybe the newer one is OK? You could see if it's in stock somewhere near you.
