Special Tomato EIO - cabin friendly ?

Hi everyone , I’m just after some advice! We are going abroad in September and my little boy has global developmental delay. He still requires his special tomato eio to get around however I ideally don’t want to have to take this abroad with us as I’m terrified the airline will break/damage it and it was expensive. I know the wheels can be removed but wondered if anyone had any experience with travelling with it ? I don’t think they would let me carry it onboard and store it in overhead locker ?

thanks!

That’s definitely too big to be put overhead as cabin luggage

But it can be labelled up at wheelchair and you can fold at last minute at plane door, and it will be put in then rather than with lugagge belt and specify it needs to come off like a wheelchair the other end ie at plane door. Maybe email airline to check their exact policy.
