Need help with buggy situation

Hello, I’m looking for advice about pushchairs systems for a newborn and toddler.

I’m currently pregnant and have a 26 month old who will be 2 1/2 years when the baby arrives. Now whilst my toddler can walk a surprisingly long way for 2 they do get tired out and we walk to nursery which is 15/20 minutes (toddler in the pushchair).

We go out for walks and see cousins a lot so we are going to need a way to have somewhere for the toddler to rest. My partner said to just take both our pram system and the pushchair when we go out but if I’m taking them both out on my own this obviously won’t work. I’ve looked at those buggy board things but I have short arms and it looks like you’re awfully stretched when pushing a pram with that on.

I won’t want a double buggy that’s like the Ickle bubba Venus system I would prefer the one that is longways if that makes sense.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback or advice on systems and if a buggy board is good and there’s any that aren’t so long or anything.

Thank you!

You don't want side by side, you want one in front of the other? Can I ask why?

Have you looked at Phil and teds? Not quite as long as some of the double systems. We mostly used a sling for the baby but the Phil and teds gave us a good amount of flexibility- could put them both in the main seat or use as a double

I think what you want is a buggy with a long enough handle that you can fit the buggy board in between the handle and the buggy. That way you don't have to stand further away from the buggy while you're pushing. I think they are discontinued now but we recently borrowed a friend's bugaboo ant, and the handle on that was really long so the toddler was in front of the bit you hold.
