We already have an out n about nipper which we use for country walks etc but I don’t find it practical/ideal for day to day use for various reasons:
- it doesn’t parent face which I don’t like as baby is still only 7 months
- the shopping basket is very small
- because of the suspension and the shape and position of the handle you can’t really have a buggy board on there which I need for my 3 year old sometimes. You can physically fit one on (I’ve got the Lascal maxi) but the buggy suspension and the fact it has three wheels makes it almost impossible to push especially turning corners as it becomes too back heavy. There’s also nowhere for my 3yo to really stand/hold on properly so I’m bent over the top of her at a horrible angle
- its massive and takes up too much space in the car/in cafes etc
Up until recently I also had an UppaBaby Cruz which we used around town and it was good (compact-ish, can parent face, space for buggy board, huge shopping basket) other than the fact it had zero suspension. It could barely handle a walk round the park. Anything other than a completely smooth pavement or shop floor meant it was horrendously bumpy and quite hard to push.
So please can anyone find me a buggy that is:
- parent facing or ideally would be possible to have either way round
- not massive
- can easily and comfortably take a preschooler on a buggy board
- decent size shopping basket
- some suspension so it’s not totally awful at the park etc. Doesn’t need to be a proper off roader as I’m keeping the out n about still
- Would ideally have a one handed fold but this isn’t essential
- doesnt require me to remortgage
- doesnt need to be a travel system as I don’t need to fit on a car seat or bassinet
