Nuna Mixx Next

Hello

Really like the Nuna Mixx Next Pram but not so keen on the car seats Nuna offer.

Liked the Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 but it seems that it doesn't fit the Nuna frame. Can anyone recommend what other car seats fit the frame?

We have the Nuna mixx next and it’s great, not sure why you don’t like the car seats we have the Nuna arra and it’s great!

Maxi Cosi car seats are compatible with Nuna, they just aren't officially approved by the brand. But they use the same adapters and some stores sell them as a bundle.

OneLuckyBird · 20/06/2024 12:57

It's not that we don't like the Nuna seats, more that the Maxi cosi one had a higher safety rating and we preferred them. A lot of the reviews for Nuna mentioned chins touching chest due to positioning.
We were told the pebble 360 doesn't fit the frame but the pro version does, it seems to be conflicting advice depending where you ask 🤦🏻‍♀️

No, that doesn't make any sense because in terms of pram compatability the Pebble 360 and Pebble 360 Pro are the same.

My only gripe with Maxi Cosi seats is that babies outgrow them sooner than other brands. That's OK if you only want it to last 6-9 months anyway, but it's a lot of money to pay for something which is so short lived.

So in the shop today we seen the pebble 360 pro on the frame and it clicked on no problem but the pebble 360 didn't click. There was a maxi cosi cabriofix it also clicked onto the frame no problem. Just cannot understand why the 360 would be any different.

I can't help you with car seats but just to say we have the Mixx and it's been fantastic. My son is 22 months nearly and I don't drive so that pram has walked miles and still good as new.

BertieBotts · 22/06/2024 23:06

How odd. Maybe the part where the latches are is deeper, or something?

There are other 360 seats with the same attachments if you wanted to give it a go in the shop - Cybex Cloud, Britax Baby-Safe, all the Joie ones can be used with a 360 base too.

@OneLuckyBird did you find adaptors or something to work? We are looking at the next range but got a maxi cosi coral 360 from a friend that we love for the same reason you highlighted but I can't see adaptors for it and I am not a huge fan of the range it comes with from first look.

Yes we eventually got it figured out. The adaptors that came with the pram were compatible. We tried various maxi cosi seats on it and they all worked with the adaptors that came with the pram frame.

@OneLuckyBird thank you so much! I couldn't find this info anywhere. Are you enjoying both and would recommend? My only other option was to use the new cari carry cot car seat thing, which may be great but I'm thinking not ideal space wise or longevity?

OneLuckyBird · 15/08/2024 09:29

Baby isn't due until September so haven't used them yet to feedback, but carseat arrived last week and looks great on the frame. Looking forward to using both.

hi, just wondered how your pram and car seat are going and which ones you ended up going for?
I also have been reading the safety reviews of car seats and feel stressed! But love the Nuna mixx nest pram!

Reddy01 · 22/01/2025 19:28

@Frenchtoastie hey we have been using the mixx next with the cari next car seat and love it! You can only just fit into the other back passenger seat so not great for a smaller car but omg it's so easy to use! We harness the pram standing up in the boot and have the medium sized dog next to it. Then we just lift the cari next out, clip it on and we are sorted. No issues with transferring or worrying about her sleeping in it too long. The things I liked best was that it's very easy to fold and you don't really have to bend much for it and that the carry cot part is higher up. I really liked bugaboo fox 5 but I found it hard to fold and quite low in comparison. I had a c section and struggled to lift the cari next originally (I could hold it like any normal car seat but lifting it into the car was a bit tough) but after a week I lift it in and out of car but it's nice not having to bend down to tend to her in the cari next. Baby girl is cushioned nicely and we have a car seat blanket to line it and cover her since you cannot use a blanket in car seats really. She doesn't seem to move in it when the car is moving too. No real issues with the system at all and we are glad we got it. Only thing is that the rain cover is for the seat part only so we bought a universal carry cot cover from amazon for cheap that works fine!
