In need of a travel pushchair from 4+

Hey all, I’m in need of a pushchair for a rather tall toddler for when we are going away to travel. This is just to have one for a back up. My son's condition can make him super sloppy at times so it’s important that we have a suitable pushchair in these situations. I struggle to find one that can accommodate his weight and size however and don’t want to break the bank either. Does anyone have any suggestions and where I may be able to find one?

It is quite a while ago now but we had a Baby Jogger City Mini which could fit my child up to age 6 occasionally. Baby Jogger have newer models now with a more compact fold but I don't know if the seat is as big. They are very robust so you can get a secondhand one to save money.

My 6 year old still fits in the city mini!
he also still fits in the silver cross pop. I think theses have been updated as I have a 6 year old.

I meant the buggy is 6 as well as the child

Thank you so much! Is it a 4 or 3 wheel one? Just done a google search and a few popped up ☺️

The pop is a 4 wheeler and the city mini has the front pair of wheels closer together than the rear pair

I’d go for a Maclaren Major in this situation. We had one for our disabled ds until about 7, though he rarely used it as he got older, but we always took it on long days out just to give him the option of having a rest.

How much does your child weigh?

I have the Joie Nitro stroller (£60.00 new from Argos) and the Silvercross Pop strollers (second hand off FB for £30.00) both can take a child weighing up to 22 kg.

My four and a half year old weighs 15.5 kg and my 8 year old 22.5 kg so I've had plenty of use out them for holidays.

My DS 6 can fit in his old pram, mamas and papas flip pram! He’s really tall too

He weighs around 18-20 kg and is as tall as a 6 year old. Thank you, I’ll have a browse around
