Recommendations for all-terrain travel system

Hi all,

I'm expecting my first child and I was hoping for some recommendations for an all terrain travel system.

I'm very keen on just having the one pram to see me through everything, but we live out in the countryside. Country lanes full of pot holes, footpaths and agriculture traffic.

Any real life experience would be gratefully appreciated!

TIA!!!

I found baby wearing to be the best all terrain system.

We had a silver cross wave that I’m selling on now as looks nearly new still that was great for the travel system age which coped well. They’re robust, adaptable and hold their value well. But baby wearing is definitely easiest for footpaths/ fields.
We now have a baby jogger GT and it’s great at getting over rubbish surfaces, easy to push one handed if needed, and can cope with a hefty toddler. Not great for newborns though

Have you looked at the Mountain Buggy? They are fantastic, though we don't really use the carseat on it purely due to the recommendation that young babies are not in carseats for long periods of time and also the rough terrain without some head control isn't great if they are in their infant car seat.

I am going for the Urban Jungle - a lot of off road walking and having used one before I am comfortable it can handle the terrain I need it for.

We know a few people with Jane triders. Adjustable suspension, compatible with some car seats (get a lie flat one if you're worried about time in it), and their customer service is great when you need to repair one. You can buy second hand too as they go on and on (and on).

Second mountain buggy urban jungle - it is the BEST to push, so easy. The only surface it didn’t cope as well on was sand but still managed to use it on the beach better than other buggies. It’s brilliant I recommend it to everyone haha

Another vote for the mountain buggy! There’s three versions - the swift which is the lightest and has smaller wheels, the urban jungle which is slightly heavier and has bigger wheels and the terrain which has two wheel sizes included (the same and urban jungle and bigger ones, plus a hand brake). We had the urban jungle and loved it, easily went over most surfaces!
