Bugaboo advice

Buggie advice please!

I will go and check these out in a shop but I think I’ll treat ourselves and DC to a Bugaboo.

Now, I know we will need to change the car eventually - but neither of us really want to do that for a couple of years. But I’ve read these Bugaboos are hard to fit into the boot….

We have a BMW 4 series - it’s convertible (the hard top version from 2020) but the boot space is OK with the roof up.

I’d quite like a Bugaboo Fox but am a bit worried it might be too big. My sister has recommended a Bugaboo Bee but we would occasionally go for walks in the Downs so maybe that wouldn’t work (as I hear it’s more for city pavements?). We live in Brighton.

Have any of you had issues fitting these buggies into your cars?

Bees are small and will fit in most car boots, but only good for pavements. Tiny wheels.

Never buy a bugaboo new, bit like buying a new car, once you use it it’s halved in value. There is a great secondhand market and you can get pristine pushchairs at half the price of new. Try bugaboo selling group on Facebook

Get a Baby Jogger city! Folds up v small, goes over everything, last forever. Get one second hand and buy the lay flat crib new.

I had a bugaboo and I could write essays about how awful they are!

We have the fox and I can't rave about it enough. Honestly it's so easy to use and glides over almost all terrains. It will fit in your 4 series but in all honesty, the new dragonfly is available now and will be I. Shop floors this month. I'd recommend trying that as it's a lighter, more compact version of the fox. Kind of like a hybrid of the bee and fox. For people saying buy second hand - I wouldn't. The fox 5 is relatively new and the dragonfly isn't even available to purchase yet- I have the fox 3 and would recommend the 5 to the 3 simply because the folding mechanism has changed and the new one is much lighter/easier. I say this even though I love my fox 3! X

We had a Bee for the early stages which was handy for getting around London but our DC outgrew it quite quickly.

We moved onto the Baby Jogger City Mini which was fantastic (single handed fold, very sturdy and a roomy basket). It lasted us for years and I wish we'd had it from the start.

The fox is great. It should fit in the car but does take up a lot of space. We also have the butterfly for when don’t have as much space and off road isn’t needed

I love my fox but it’s massive. Couldn’t fit the chassis and the bassinet in my boot of my Tiguan without the parcel shelf popping up and bouncing around. We live in a cobbled village in countryside and it’s super smooth and easy to use.

I know it’s a discontinued model but I had a bugaboo chameleon and it fit into the boot of my Ford Ka!
I loved my bugaboo - used it for two children over 8 years, well worth the money!

I had this with my first 11 years ago and it was fab. Loved the way the handle could flip over!
