Mamas & Papas flip xt2 travel system

I had a look at the Airo the other day and it was great except it only forward faces and also the Strada but it’s quite big for urban living.

Then I’ve just seen the flip xt2 appear on their website and it appears to be in between the Strada and Airo which would be perfect!

I can’t work out if it’s a new model or not? Because there are some really only reviews online but I’m sure it wasn’t on the website a few weeks ago…

Does anyone know much about this travel system?

I think there is a newer one the flip XT3.

I had the original flip XT for my first son, was the third pram we used with him as we didn’t get on with first two. I fell in love with the pram, it was so easy and practical, especially as it can be folded either forward/rear facing with the seat attached. The only thing I would have changed was not having a bumper bar on the original. I’ve just had my second child and upgraded to the flip xt2 just for the bumper bar attachment.
I’ve never had any faults with the flip XT, would definitely recommend it to everyone 🙂

If you also get a cybex or certain maxi cosi car seats, you can also get adapters to attach to the pram base, however I tend to just stick with the carrycot to give little one a change of position.

Oh thanks for the review! There’s currently a good bundle deal on so I figure I might just go for it…

Yes I believe the flip xt2 is an older model, I got a GREAT deal on it as a travel system bundle 2 years ago and I guessed the good deal was because they were getting rid of remaining stock or something.
Anyway it's been great, no real complaints and we're about to use it for baby no 2 too.

I have the Strada and it is definitely lighter and less cumbersome than the flip range.

Have you been to a M&P shop and compared them in person yet? Definitely do that.

Love our Strada! World and parent facing and has a fairly narrow wheel base for getting in and out our narrow hallway easily. Moves and turns so well,.copes well on grass/parks/national trust wooded area paths as well as city streets. I live in a city 15m drive from countryside. Cybex and Maxicosi car seats are compatible too with the adapters that come with it.

We had our Strads serviced by M&P and they loaned us a Flip XT3 while it was being done - just does not compare. The flip was so cumbersome and clunky and it wasn't the easiest fold to collapse it either. I used it for a couple of days then gave up with it.

Love our Strada!

@Margo34 ohhh so is the Flip bigger than the Strada?

I have been to a M&P and looked at both the Airo and the Strada but then the Flip xt3 appeared on their website a week later!

I liked the compactness of the Airo and also that you didn’t need a massive clunky carrycot and it can fold down with the footmuff in. But I didn’t like that it doesn’t do parent facing in seated mode.

The Strada is bigger and needed a carrycot but can parent face longer.

I was thought the Flip was smaller than the Strada but if that’s not the case then I think I’ll stick with getting the Strada…?

Yep Strada is smaller and lighter than the Flip XT3!

The M&P website details their measurements and weights if I remember correctly so you can double check ☺️
