My son turns 2 in November and I'm due my second then.

Should I wing it without a second buggy or go for the second buggy?!

I didn't bother with a second buggy but DS was a really strong walker by 2 and I drive so never really needed it

Does your son still nap in the day? My did do, well over 3yo, so I would've been stuck indoors for part of the day. Maybe you could consider a sling? That would give you options (baby in sling, son in pushchair when required)?

My son's 2.5 and I find the buggy really useful for keeping him contained when he's being difficult, and for getting somewhere faster when he won't walk. I would hate to be dealing with a newborn and have my 2 year old running off.

Could you find a cheap double buggy on marketplace? My friend has one for her 3.5 and 2 year olds and it's really handy.

We had a similar age gap and no way could I have coped without a double. Needed them both strapped in and safe for shops, roads etc. My older one always liked the buggy though and sat nicely in it.

I had the same age gap and used a double for about a year. I couldn’t have coped without it. I think it depends on the personality of the child. Mine liked to throw tantrums and refuse to walk or run off when he was that age so for my own sanity he needed strapping in. We also walked a lot.

Depends on whether you regularly walk long distances, or if you’re more of a car / into shop / back in car kind of person

Imagine a poorly toddler and you need some milk from the shop...
I have various gaps and def double buggy =sanity saver!!

Go for the double if you do a lot of walking around. Otherwise you’re in for a lot of whining from the older one …

I never got one, bought a buggy board instead but we didn't even use that. I drive too so i didn't use the buggy much for anything but leisurely walks and my eldest would use his scooter

Really depends on your lifestyle
