Help! Best budget travel system/pushchair with deep seat for tall baby/toddler!

Hi,
I’m looking at buying a pram/travel system that’s suitable from birth to toddler but with a deeper buggy upright seat.
My last DC was always extremely long/tall for his age and although the bassinet part of the pram is fine, a lot of the sit up seats for when they’re older felt much too small for DC. In the end as soon as he could sit up unaided we had to get a cheap stroller as it seemed to have more depth to the seat - but it was cheap and I would prefer to get a travel system that fulfils this need if possible.

So this time I need a deeper seat (with lots of them they look like they’re perching on the edge instead of having enough depth to the seat section in relation to the frame- I also want to sit him up fully upright and then be able to fully recline the seat)

Does anyone have any recommendations of what worked for them with tall babies/toddlers pretty please or doesn’t this exist?
Thank you so much in advance everyone!

Baby jogger city mini. Second hand if budget doesn't allow new. The seats are massive.

Yes agree with that. Or we have a Britax B-Agile which has a lovely deep seat.

I don't know that they are really suitable from birth though? We have kept DC2's pram and will re-use for DC3 but I think once they're over about a year we will probably switch permanently to the Britax for the room, because I found the same as you - that the from-birth pram we have has a really shallow seat and DC felt like he was slipping down and out of it, just didn't look comfy. Also he was cramped in it.

I had a Maxi Cosi Loola Up for DC1 which was absolutely brilliant and really did tick all the boxes, but they don't make it any more. It's probably old enough a second hand one would be no use either. But maybe the Maxi Cosi prams are worth a look? You could try them out with DC1 if he's still under 4 or so, or maybe see if you can borrow a friend's toddler for the day if not.

The blue one is the from birth pram and the red one is the Britax. Both photos from when he was about 2.5 years old.

Thank you so much everyone! I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s found this- I will look at all of your suggestions.
I agree @BertieBotts I may end up swapping out for a stroller after dc turns one. I was just hoping there was some magical travel system that I could stick with for as long as possible Grin Travel systems/prams can be so expensive even second hand!

You should look at Noordi or JaNe in the Johnston Prams site. Great bundle deals. I had Jane for my big kids and Noordi is a new brand my niece bought. Love. Larger seat unit. Great value as well. And they do great bundle deals.

Bugaboo Bee 5. Not really a budget option but you mind be able to find one second hand for a good price. Seat is really deep (can change the depth and length of the seat as they grow) - my tall almost 3 year old fits really well in it still. Also does the other things you mention like sitting completely upright and fully reclining. Can also parent face. I didn’t have it from birth (had a bugaboo Fox) but really wish I’d just got the Bee. I also have an umbrella stroller but the Bee has a much better seat and is so much nicer to push.
