Double running strollers from newborn - Phil and teds?

I'm looking for a new buggy (we have a 25 month old and newborn incoming) which can use initially as a newborn and toddler double and then also as a running buggy later on.

I've been looking at the Phil and teds sport - has anyone got any experience with it? How does a chunky 3-4 year old fit in it with a 1-2 year old sibling for future proofing!?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks all... it's a minefield trying to figure out the best option!

I had a very old second hand sport which worked really well with my two children, we have a 26 month age gap so very similar. I didn't get it until my youngest was 6 months old so can't comment on how it would work with a newborn although I did set it up in that configuration and can't see it being an issue. Unfortunately we had to replace the sport and was very old and as I'm expecting my third I wanted something that would last for a few more years. We now have a new Phil and Ted's dot (smaller and more compact than the sport but other than that it is very similar) and I love it. My 17 month old sits in the main seat while my 3.5 year old hops in and out if the back seat. She seems to have plenty of room, even if I have shopping in the basket. She's never complained about being squashed at all. I imagine the sport would be even roomier for the second seat.

I would recommend buying the pannier bags for the pushchair, you can get them pre owned from eBay. They provide so much storage especially when you've got two toddlers in the pushchair.

I know that's not completely what you were asking but I hope it helps a bit.
