Shall I get a car seat as part of a travel system or just a fixed in the car one?

We think we have (finally!) decided to get the uppababy vista. So the next decision is now the car seat option which baffles me. The prices jumps a lot with the cybex and base though the base can be used with the sirona z later on. But I was thinking if I just bought the sirona s/joie I size 360 type car seat with the base attached from the get go then it will be cheaper long term. Or I could get the travel system with the isnug or the maxi cosi cabriofix which are the cheaper option. I'm a ftm as I'm sure you can tell! Is it essential to have a car seat that can attach to the pram?! Thanks!

I bought the infant seat but if I had my time again I would get the axkid one plus

Never ever ever did either of my DC remain sleeping as I painlessly transferred thrm from car to pushchair.

The only time I even took it put was to use in a taxi with dc1. Haven't removed it at all with dc2

@JanewaysBun haha this is what I'm wondering! Might be better to go straight for something like the joie I spin 360

Those multi chairs lack on the possibility of being able to tilt it properly si when. They’re newborn they don’t drop the head forward.
I had a cyber atom and now have an axkid. If I had a child again I’d do the same

Cons more expensive
Pros much better adapted to the each age requirement reducing the chances of something bad happening.

My recommendation avoid big shops like Halfords or John Lewis and buy in specialised shops

I'd definitely get an infant carrier that you can attach to pushchair, unless you really don't use your car much. Sometimes i ended up driving to get them to sleep then it was great to be able to wheel them around or bring car seat inside (once I'd mastered the ninja moves required).

It does mean changing car seat in about 18mo/2 years though.
Also, definitely get a fixed base for the car then you can just click the infant carrier seat in/ out really easily.
