Travel systems - 2021 help me choose

Hi All ,

First time mum due in May and with no end in sight to this lockdown I don't think I will get to go pram shopping before I get into a panic about not having one . So I have been doing loads of research online and looking at different reviews on youtube etc and I think I have narrowed it down to a Silvercross pacific or a Cosatto Wowee however the prams are so similar in feature and cost and there are so many other options out there I think I have just spent to much time looking and confused myself even more. Also am I being stupid spending that sort of money on a travel system ( £900 ish ) should I be looking at second hand or a cheaper option . One thing I have really been looking at is the fact that I am probably having a big baby and she is likely to be tall so the longevity of the pram is key and partner is tall so adjustable handle is a must for me . Nice to have things would be a carry cot suitable for overnight sleeping and 4 wheels as I think I will be better at driving 4 wheels lol - All help and advice greatly appreciated thanks everyone

Hi OP

Totally following this thread.
I’m so lost and confused, I don’t know where to start!

Has anyone used the Joie buggies?
They have tonnes of bundles on the Online4baby site, but all I hear about are the top brands!

Joie is excellent mid range brand good for car seats and buggies of which I’ve had both

I would assume their travel systems are fine too but over not used the full system myself

We went for the Cybex Priam which we still love and get a lot of use out of

However, if I wanted to save money a full travel system isn’t a necessity at all

We use the baby carrier more and more abecause of lockdown as there’s not the need right now to have somewhere to put shopping

We picked the culyvex due to being tall as it had the longest adjustment on the handle and the pram seat was longer than any others at the time

Hi

What will you be using the pram for? I mean obviously to put baby in haha, but will you be going mainly in the city/no pavements or will you be going off-road?

I've heard good things about both brands, they're both supposed to be good quality and last a while, often for more than one child.

The pram I want is £750+ new and I'm balking at paying that much, so I'm desperately looking for a second hand one or an end of line colourway. X

You can get really good deals on face book marketplace atm as people are having clear outs. Then if you hate it you can always get another one lol!

I have an Uppababy Vista that fulfills your requirements, I adore it. We got it three years ago for DD1, and used it constantly. Now DD2 is here I use it everyday for her too when DD1 is in nursery. DD1 still fits in if needs be. Very sturdy, massive shopping basket, they were both big babies and no issues there. There are days I'd sell the children before I'd sell the buggy!

Sorry if adding another to the list is complicating matters.
