Hello- I am expecting my first baby in May and with the restrictions am finding it hard to test pushchairs out. I’m finding the whole thing a bit overwhelming as so much to consider- please help!!
Two family members have and recommend the mamas and papas ocarro and we was lucky to get to the shop before the local restrictions to test it and I really liked it in oynx, HOWEVER, after speaking to a local store over the phone that sell all different brands, and telling them about the ocarro and how a lot of reviews say it’s good for all terrain they said absolute not!! Now I am really confused.
I have a Labrador dog so will be out daily for walks, we live right by common land so would like to continue are walks for him over there. It’s hard to work out now how much I will use the pushchair on all terrain or if ill use a carrier more instead. But I’m even thinking for further down the line when they are older 2/3 years as they are too heavy for carriers! More than happy to use a carrier but are they easy enough to put on yourself once my partner goes back to work?!
I wanted a travel system and liked the look of the cybex cloud z as they lie nearly flat. I also thought this would be good as I often drive (10 mins) to meet friends and family for a dog walk, therefor whilst the dog is in the boot I only need to bring the wheels which will fit in the footwell and can use the car seat in the lie flat position as long as it’s under 2 hours which it will be. Another option I saw is the joie I-level but I’m not sure if these are compatible?!
The shop that did not recommend the ocarro suggested I candy peach all terrain. But I don’t know anyone with this to get reviews on??
They said after a couple of years when baby is older you will notice the Ocarro is hard to push on country paths, and wheels are no good, is this true?!
Things I need it for- to manage well on country walks, not too bulky or big although the ocarro fitted in my boot fine, I have a Vauxhall mokka but boot space is deceiving- easy to fold and put up- to look nice (I know this isn’t a must but if I’m spending that much money I want a stylish looking pushchair!) I don’t know why but I really don’t like ones with brown handles 🤦🏽♀️!
Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated!
