Supportive all terrain buggy

I have an 8 month old who is nowhere near being able to sit unsupported until recently I have been using a Mountain Buggy duet but now need a single buggy. He is now in an old iCandy Apple to Pear which seems to hold him well but the buggy is useless off road (it's not great with kerbs or lumps and bumps in the road to be honest) so I want to buy a buggy that will cope with muddy fields and walks in the woods but will hold him securely too and folds fairly small to fit in the boot of our car.

You could get a single mountain buggy. If you get a second hand carrycotplus, it converts to a parent facing seat. We have been using the seat since 4.5 months and use with almost 8 month old now. It’s supportive and lays flat when needed. But I think the regular mountain buggy seat might work as well if he had been ok in the duet.

I’d get a single version in your position
