Do I need a carry cot if I have a lie flat car seat?

Hi everyone, I want to get the bugaboo bee 6 as I'm short on space and I'm so tiny, I understand its quite light too. I was thinking of getting the cybex cloud z which lies flat and I can put this on the pushchair.

Do I need a carry cot too? I have to buy this separately and wondered if it was a waste of money.

FTM so any advice would be appreciated 😊. Thank you!

I didn’t have a lie flat car seat, but I had a lie flat pram seat and didn’t get a carry cot. I definitely didn’t ever feel like I should have got one.

I had the Jane lie flat car seat for all for of my kids and didn’t need a carry cot or Moses basket! The car seat came with a mattress I could put in it for day/night sleeping when not in the car - didn’t really need it but it did make it nice and cosy!

The bugaboo bee is fine without, in fact a few years ago they hadn’t even made a carrycot for the bee and the whole point of it was the main seat lays flat and folds in one piece.
I would add a comfy sheepskin liner or footmuff to main seat, but it can easily be used from birth or with the lie flat car seat

Even though it says that the car seat lies flat, it doesn’t lie completely flat, around 140°. If you had something like an Uppababy vista, then yes you’d probably need a carrycot. The bee can be used from birth with a cocoon/insert so should be perfectly fine Smile

I use the carrycot from my pushchair for napping downstairs at home, it's useful!
