I wondered if anyone has this stroller and what they think of it? We currently use the Uppababy Cruz but would like something a little lighter and that fits more easily into the car for holidays. Also has anyone taken this stroller on a plane, assume it has to be put into the hold? Did you need to buy a bag to put it in or was it ok without?

Was tempted by the Joie tourist but put off by reviews that it doesn’t sit upright and also the hood looks a little small.

I’d really like to see them before buying but now Mothercare is gone there is only John Lewis locally.

We've used the Avia for a couple of years. It's much lighter than most strollers (5.5kg) and can take up to 25kg so we plan to keep it until DD stops needing a buggy. It folds up small (but not as small as a Yoyo). I have no problems carrying it down stairs with DD in it. The seat is more upright than most of the other compact buggies.

It needs to be put into the hold on a plane, but it's survived several flights pretty well. Easy and quick to fold. We use a bag for the flights now but we didn't to start with, but they're quite cheap (generic stroller flight bags) so I thought I might as well get one.

The hood is fine, it comes pretty low so able to block out sun even when it's low in the sky. One handed steering is fine. Wheels aren't great for off-road, but we're in London so it's rarely an issue for us. The width is narrow which is great (can get it through normal tube gates) but the handle doesn't retract, so the length is a bit longer than some other buggies. The shopping basket is a bit awkward - hard to access, but it's a decent size (and not so much of an issue now I've switched to online groceries).
