Double Pram?

We have DS (2) and DD is due in October. We are contemplating either getting a double pram or perhaps having DS in the pram we already have and DD would be in a sling/carrier. What worked (or didn't) for you?

I would like to say that DS would sit in a buggy board that's strapped behind the pram as that would/could be an option but he would want out after 2 mins! - given this however, I would like your experience on a buggy board as well.
