Mountain Buggy Duet or Baby Jogger GT2 double (new style)

Hello!

Trying to decide which of these is best for a newborn and 2year old. I'd discounted the baby jogger, even though we love our GT single, but I hear the new version of the GT (2) double is slimmer than previous ones.

My toddler is quite a slim build, but he's tall, I'm wondering how generous the MB seats are? Is the MB an easy fold? I hear the MB seats are not always great for tall toddlers.

Thanks in advance for any help or experiences, it's a bit tricky without being able to get to a shop and actually see them!

I think I would only get the MB duet if I wanted to parent face past 6 months. Then again you have the option of a single with the MB. When I saw the MB in the shops back when they were open I was surprised by how small the seats seemed. Seemed easy to push too.

Although if I was you I’d go for the GT as I personally prefer it, the seats are taller and it’s easy to fold. But in the GT you can’t parent face once DC outgrows the carrycot.

Another pushchair worth a look at would be the Out n About nipper. Again, it has large seats so could be good for your DS Smile

Thank you @teaandlotusbiscoff ! I've discounted the Out n About purely due to width (we live in an Edwardian terrace!). Hence my leaning towards the MB. When you said you seemed surprised how small the seats were - did you mean in width or height out of interest?

Many thanks for your comments, they're really helpful.

I meant height wise mainly, I did expect them to be narrow given it’s the narrowest side-by-side pushchair but they were narrower than I expected. I saw a few reviews and while it did look good for tall children somewhat they were rather short in height. I don’t know what the seat-length on the GT2 is but I know that the old one could fit my short 8yo in Smile
