Baby due in September and looking to buy a travel system, or at least a buggy and car seat that can be used from birth. We live in London so (one day!) it'll be helpful to have something fairly narrow and light for getting into tight cafes, on busy pavements and buses, but also drive (decent sized boot). We will use a bit on rural terrain but probably not regularly enough to justify prioritising that and could probably more easily use a carrier/backpack for holidays etc.
This is our first, but I'd like something sturdy enough to last for a second child in the future and have about £1k to spend including the car seat and base.
I've looked at the Nuna Mixx and the Maxi-Cosi Laika so far, which seem like reasonable options and both have compatible car seats. Is it worth considering a lie-flat car seat and not bothering with the carrycot attachment? It would be good to have one or they other that he could sleep in overnight when we're away...
Hoping to go to Mamas and Papas this weekend and try some out but I'd like to go with a bit of a shortlist if possible!
