Can someone tell me why most of the pushchairs in the market are black/grey?

I was looking at the red colour option of a pushchair a few weeks ago. This week when I check again, it surprised me that almost all a sudden the red option has been wiped out across the internet. It almost looks like the manufacturer stopped making red.

The same manufacturer has had a very nice purple option. But on the website, they only have black /grey/ deep blue to offer.

Just wonder why...

Because you're pushing them around outside in the muck and rain so darker colours stay cleaner and smarter?

More practical - easier to try and keep clean.

I imagine they're best sellers and they're cutting back on manufacturing costs perhaps?

My youngest is 6 so I'm not fully up on current trends but I remember noticing that a lot had basic base colours with the option of adding colour packs to brighten them up.

Don't show up the grime. That's the only reason.

Supply and demand

Lots of people avoid colour as like it or not people associate colour with gender and people consider child 2, especially with expensive items like a pram

Because people are boring and only but the dark colours.

We had a bright yellow patterned beauty from cosatto 😄

Primary colours clash with the pusher of the perambulator...cramps their style further. A neutral black or grey is better imo.

I love colour! I have a red one (bugaboo), a double with teal and pink seats (icandy). None really got that dirty even in mud etc and it makes me feel all skippy pushing a lovely looking puschair
