Light blue pram?

I know that colour obviously isn't the most important factor when choosing a pram but I would really like a light blue pram.

Only option I've seen so far is the icandy lime which I'm meh about although I did like the icandy apple I had before.

Mines a light blue/grey colour - it's the Musty I2 in Cloud - I haven't got a photo of it on me but if you google it, look for the actual photos rather than the marketing ones, it's definitely more blue than grey in real life.

What about food, sick, poo, mud??

GrumpyHoonMain · 22/11/2019 17:11

Uppababy Vista William is a pale blue. Currently on offer too

8by8 · 22/11/2019 17:11

Bugaboo used to do a pale blue one.

But aren’t you worried about it getting dirty? Personally I bought black prams and just accessorised with blankets I liked.

@WhatALearningCurve Do you mind posting photos of yours? The only photos I can find of it are very grey

I definitely want a more baby blue colour as opposed to grey-blue or bright blue.

This is my 4th so not my first rodeo.

The carry cot does not look as fake denim as these photos look ha. It's the bright lights of the shop 😂

WhatALearningCurve · 22/11/2019 18:13

For some reason my photos won't attach. I'll keep trying but sorry if this spams!

Hauck have a light blue colour in their range at the moment. I know they're not very trendy, but they do have a range of prams. We looked at them. (I got a Mutsy Evo)

BertieBotts · 22/11/2019 20:15

Cybex have a "Nautical blue" for some of their prams which is bright/light. They also have a truly, truly horrible light blue with gold cherubs and massive fucking gold wings Confused Confused Confused

This for when LO is a bit bigger?

Perhaps not baby blue exactly, but light: www.argos.co.uk/product/8796237

wooleytoes · 22/11/2019 20:43

@WhatALearningCurve that's more grey than I was thinking but I'm definitely going to give mutsy a look anyway as that a really lovely looking pram and I've never heard of the brand before.

@BertieBotts The two you linked won't work for me as I need something with a carrycot. I do like the kind of retro feel of the mybabiie one though and the Hauck Apollo looks quite nice.

You could try looking at others from the same brands to see if any have a carrycot and come in the right colour.

Good luck - it really seems a lot of the companies just have grey, grey and grey for their colour schemes at the moment. Do you think they are taking the idea of a 50 shades of grey baby boom a bit too far? 🤔

BertieBotts · 22/11/2019 22:35

I love my mutsy pram. They are really popular here in Germany. They seem to have fallen prey to the grey overload too but I have an older colour which is a really bright jewel like turquoise and I love it. Sorry I don't have many good pics of it on the phone.

Joie mirus Pacific - no carrycot but can do lie flat while parent facing

The other thing you can do, if you can't find anything you like is to get a coordinating colour, like light cool grey, light fawn/beige, cream or navy and then dress it up with light blue accessories. For a carry cot you can buy custom covers which go over the top and change the look. You can also get covers for the hood. Then in the actual pushchair part once you move to that, a seating pad and/or a blanket or footmuff can really change the look of it. For example although my pushchair is turquoise, the previous owners had a seat liner in which is a warm grey which really changes the look and I have a dark blue footmuff for it with stars on that I love too. Then in the summer DS2 uses it with a rainbow stripe blanket which gives another feel as well. It's totally up to you can you can have lots of looks. There are loads of universal seat liners and carrycot covers on amazon and etsy, more so if you get a popular model of pram, but some will make them up custom fit for any if you contact direct.
