BJCM straps - doing my head in

I have a new Baby Jogger City Mini for my six month old. I had one for an older child back in 2013. I love the buggy but they seem to have changed the straps such that each of the 5 points comes apart every single time you unstrap the baby.

On all other buggies I have had before (this one, a Maclaren, Icandy, O’Baby) the top strap and the across one stay attached unless you unclip something to separate them. Strapping the baby in each time is so fiddly - and he’s only six months old. I dread to think what it will be like when I reach the stage when I have to wrestle him into the buggy! Anyone know what I’m talking about and if so do you have any suggestions or work arounds?

Thanks in advance.

Buy really small black cable ties, cable tie the two buckles together and then cut the ends off the cable ties. I did this on my baby jogger.

I also used small cable ties to hold mine together on my Gt.

Excellent ! Thanks both - I hadn’t thought of that.
