Footmuff or just pram 'apron'

Hi All!

I am a first time mum so trying to understand what i need, i have purchased a silver cross wayfarer which comes with the 'apron', my baby is due in January - is a footmuff in addition to the apron necessary or will baby be warm just under the apron in a snow suit or with an extra blanket?

I think for a baby then blankets and/or snow suit will be fine. A footmuff is more useful for a toddler who is sitting upright and would kick off a blanket.
