Hope I can use the collective MN brain for advice.

Next year I will have a two year old and a new born. What sort of buggy/pram/carrier set ups do people recommend?

I walk everywhere with an occasional bus trip and access to a car on the weekends.

Get a buggy board

I got an out and about double when in the same position. I don't often use it as my now nearly 3 year old walks much better in the last 6 months. Usually toddler walks and baby is in the carrier. We got a buggy board but my dd just jumped on and off constantly so was useless.

My worry with a buggy board is that my two year old will be too tired to use it. Our walk to town is 35 mins

You can get the buggy board with the seat on too. I didn't find a buggy board very comfortable as had to lean over it to push buggy. I'm 5ft 4 though so prob ok if you're taller
