BCMJ GT or Out n About Nipper

Hi,

Any advice as to which of these is better for me?

I have a tall 2 year old who has delayed gross motor skills so likely to need a pushchair for a while (just started walking).

I would like something easy to push, fairly lightweight and suitable for pavements and slightly off road (e.g. grass) nothing too extreme! Needs to fit in a fiesta boot but can take the parcel shelf off. We mainly use the buggy for small towns / villages but would like to be able to use it for a 'proper' walk too.

Thanks!

I’ve had the BCMJ GT and the nipper (but the double one).
The nipper has bucket seats which some DC find uncomfortable. I’m not sure how tall the nipper seats are but the BCMJ seat is really big and comfortable. Hood is great on it, easy to fold (one handed fold), quite small, good to take on holiday, etc.
The tyres on the GT make it easy to push but don’t need inflating. The ones on the nipper drove me insane having to inflate/punctures etc and I didn’t ever feel like it was properly reliable due to the possibility of having a puncture and getting stuck somewhere.

You may want to check the weight limits on both though if your DC is big for age and maybe go somewhere you can try them both with DC in to see if seat is comfortable/easy to push, etc.

Thanks that’s useful. Sounds as though you would lean towards the BJCM. My DC is tall rather than heavy so I will probably be ok with weight limits. Did you find it ok for lifting in and out of the car?

Personally I would avoid the nipper due to the tyres and the bucket seat but if these don’t bother you then it may be worth considering.

I find the BJ fine for lifting in and out, it’s not the lightest but really easy to fold and lift.

I meant the weight in terms of if you were needing the pram for longer due to your DC mobility issues so if you were thinking you may need a pram until 3/4/5 it may be worth investing in one with a high weight limit as if DC is tall they will reach the weight limit quicker than if they are short (even if tall and slim).
