Egg Tandem

Hi

I'm currently 25 weeks with DD2, but DD1 will only just be 15 months when she arrives, so I'm looking to get a double pram.

After scouring the internet the Egg Tandem seems like a good choice for us.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has one and if you could give me your pros and cons of using yours. Smile

It didn't exist when I had my twins but I would never recommend a tandem having been through a fair few buggies. Side by side much better. At the egg budget I'd look at the Donkey.

What are the difficulties in using a tandem?

Ive looked at the Donkey, but it's too wide to fit through my front door and I haven't anywhere else to store it upright. It's also too big to fit in the boot of our car.

I'm also not buying new, I've been looking on FB marketplace and EBay.

No experience of the Egg but I can recommend tandems, although I can see why others wouldn't - can feel a bit heavier to push and one of your children is always further away. However it suits me because I don't drive and am reliant on our local small village bus would not take a side by side double and I wouldn't be able to fit through the doors of many of our local shops. It depends on your needs though...hopefully someone with experience of the Egg comes along...

I should add that I have the Uppababy Vista - but pre 2014 which won't take carrycot and rumble seat together. I got it for £140 (all in) on Marketplace in mint condition - I totally rate second hand!

Following. I've been looking mainly at the icandy orange but am interested in the Egg too.

I did love the Egg tandem, but when I tried one DD1 didn't like it. So I ended up getting a Bugaboo Donkey, which so far, is really good and DD1 is very happy in it.
