Secondhand carrycot?

I've found the pram I love on eBay for half the price of the new model. Looks to be in good nick. Is the carrycot safe to use? Will replace mattress of course but the sides are padded and not sure if this is a SIDS risk as doesn't look to be removable/washable. It is a model that is generally approve for overnight sleep but we would only use it for sleep whilst out and perhaps occasional daytime naps.

Check it's from a smoke free home. But yes should be perfectly safe. You'll be watching the baby the entire time as pushing it. If baby learns to roll it should be big enough to not be in carrry cot so risk of pushing its face against side is minimal.

Yes this wouldn't worry me at all. Although I agree I would ask the seller if it's from a smoke free home or if you can go and see it in person to establish this - that would be my only worry with a second hand pram.
