So I need a bit of help and advice on prams! I'm a first time mum with baby girl due in October. I've been going round and round in circles trying to decide but think I've narrowed it down to either the iCandy Peach 3 or iCandy Strawberry 2.
I thought I wanted the Uppababy Vista, but having seen it in person I've decided it's a bit of a beast and would be a really tight fit down our corridor. Both the iCandy's are narrower so should fit fine.
The Strawberry 2 is probably my top choice at the moment - but I have some issues with it. I like that it's pretty compact, has a one had fold and stands on it's own when folded, has a big basket underneath, and that the bassinet and seat use the same frame so there's less to store. I've also found a few pretty good deals for it new making it pretty affordable. Oh, and I like that you can get it in a black frame rather than the chrome.
What I am worried about is - that the seat looks quite small and baby might grow out of it quickly (though I don't expect once baby is 2+ years we'll use it much any way, most friends have moved on to strollers), I can't decide how well it will handle country paths and walks, the fold seems to fold flat, but not necessary fold to be very compact, and the sun canopy isn't extendable.
With the peach, though I haven't looked at one in detail, it seems the seat unit is slightly bigger, while having the same overall width and length. The fold is different, possibly a bit more compact with the seat remove? Though, I can't decide which is better.
Any thoughts on which is the better option based on experience? Anything you've absolutely loved or hated about either?
I'm not looking to shell out too much for a pram, can't afford it what with buying a house at the same time, so there is that to consider. If the peach does turn out to be the better option i'd probably go second hand.
