Buggy for tall person

My husband is 6’3” and all the buggies we’ve read about/seen so far seem pretty short, which means he ends up slouching over and uncomfortable. We love our Uppababy Cruz, but failing you find a buggy we even like and is big enough.

We’ve tried the Maclaren Techno XT but the only good thing was the extendable handles, we thought!

Any other tall parents out there with a buggy recommendation?

Hope you don't mind but following this as we will need a double buggy in a few months. Interesting to hear about the maclaren, I was hoping that one would be good for the price!

We have a silver Cross wayfarer. It isn't perfect for us. I am 5'10 and manage comfortably. My husband is the same size as yours and it is a tiny bit low for him but not massively. Good thing is that it is adjustable so shorter relatives can use it with issue.

I've got a britax b agile, dp manages fine, no back ache/wheel kick complaints. Although it is a pretty bulky buggy to lift, not to push.

A few years ago now but we had the iCandy peach which was great, we’re both tall.

Ocarro (mamas and papas) has extendable handle, husband uses that!

imsconequeen · 06/06/2018 13:12

I'm sure you can buy something online that clips onto handle to extend further......

Sorry, I should have been much clearer in my OP! We’re looking for an umbrella fold type buggy, rather than a pushchair/pram. Something that’s compact when folded and is easy to fold. Price up to £300.

Not an umbrella fold but both fold small and are great for tall people - Icandy raspberry or babyzen yo-yo

TroubledLichen · 06/06/2018 14:13

Babyzen YoYo? DH is 6”2 and has no issue with ours.

minipie · 07/06/2018 09:42

My friend with very tall husband and tall children has the Uppababy G Luxe umbrella stroller - she loves it.

ellybo · 07/06/2018 10:04

Maybe Go stroller? It's £150. phil and teds. just came out

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/06/2018 10:18

My 6'4" DH has no problems with our Babyzen Yoyo. Not umbrella fold, but IMO even better! The handle curves, and he just holds it right at the top. Plus it is so light and easy to push, it doesn't strain his back at all (and he has form for back pain).

I have a tall dh too and I think you need to look for how much “stride space” there is as well as height of handles. We never used an umbrella fold stroller but tall brother got on well with the cosatto one.
