Bugaboo Bee cocoon

Hi.

I recently got Bugaboo Bee 5 and I'm now trying to decide between the cocoon and carrycot. Obviously the cocoon is a lot cheaper but when I was testing the Bee the seat didn't really fully recline flat so I'm not sure if the cocoon is good for a newborn. Any thoughts?

The cocoon is sold as suitable from newborn and you can remove the top making it suitable for warmer days. Personally I hate carrycots, brilliant for sleeping whilst you sit and have a coffee but if you’re pushing on an uneven surface, bumping up the curb etc. baby gets thrown around. Personally I like the security of the cocoon and the fact it has straps so would chose that hands down even if there wasn’t a saving.

Disclaimer, I don’t actually have the Bee but I do have a YoYo which has a very similar newborn nest and I did tons of research on the Bee as it was between the two!

I had a carrycot with my bee3 and was utterly happy with it. We then went away on the train so needed something that could fold so bought the cocoon as carrycot could not do this. As it was DS started moving at 3 months and it was unsafe for him to be in the carrycot.
