Bugaboo Bee5 or Chameleon

Hi there,

I'm struggling to decide between the Bugaboo Bee5 or Chameleon. I've read loads of reviews about each of them, and have actually ordered the Bee, but I'm starting to think I should have opted for the Chameleon.

The main reason I chose the Bee was that it folds in 1 piece, however in reality I'm not sure how often we will actually need to fold it - I don't have a car or need to negotiate stairs. So it will only be when we travel that we fold it - I also don't mind purchasing the Bugaboo travel bag for travelling. I also like the Bee it as it is slightly smaller and narrower.

The reason that I'm now questioning my decision is that I've read a few reviews stating the Bee is quite flimsy and not great on uneven surfaces. Being in London, I will need to navigate pavements, parks and roads most of the time.... also, I would like a buggy that can be used well into the toddler years and I believe the Cham is better for this.

Has anyone had both??? Which do you prefer?

I have a few weeks to change my mind (baby hasn't arrived yet!).

We are also in London without a car and had a Bee that did 4 and a half years of excellent service with one repair (the handlebar was slipping which I gather can be 'a thing'-towards the end it started going that way again). First child used it until 2 and a half and then went on the buggy board with smaller sibling in the buggy so it really did work hard before it finally gave out. We had a separate running buggy for proper off road stuff but day to day there was no issue with it being too flimsy, and its compact size was great on public transport. I would advise against getting the parasol though! Smile (also you might find that you have to fold more than you think when out and about-we had to for nursery etc)
