Tandem Double Pushchairs

Thinking of getting an iCandy Peach double as my DS will only be 21 months old when our newbie arrives. Does anyone have one and love it? I like that you can have all kinds of configurations of the two seats. I'm also looking at the Silvercross Wave which looks nice and also has flexible configurations, but I haven't seen one in person yet.

I've written off the idea of a side by side because my DS is a huge chunk and looks squashed in them already. I want it to last more than a few months otherwise it will have been a waste of money... I've tried all of the popular ones e.g. Mountain buggy, baby jogger etc.

The icandy is really nice and I think pushes well for a tandem. But if your son is chunky he won’t fit for very long at all. My 2 year old niece who’s petite fills the seat. And little 3 ½ yo has her legs dangling out and can’t put hood up. If footmuff was on she wouldn’t feel fit at all.

We had the oyster tandem and it was good still using it when children were 4&2.5 for going out as 4 yr old loves naps so would happily curl up in it if we were out all day, and we use it as a single a lot.

Sorry forgot to say - I loved that the tip seat could face me when pushing or away so I could see the baby
