Is the cocoon ok for newborn or should I fork out for the carrycot? Anyone here used the cocoon with new born? Thanks

Which bugaboo?

I bought the bee carrycot when we bought the pram. The idea being it would last umtil DS was 6 mo ths old. DS was nreech and very squished so benefited from being in the carrycot to spread out a bit. When he was 12 weeks old we went away (constantly folding pram) so bought the bee cocoon as thought it would be easier than having to remove carrycot. It was. Around this point DS became very mobile ie would lift himself up in carrycot so it was safer that he was in the cocoon. Essentially we benefited from having both. As he was a tiny baby we were able to use the cocoon as a footmuff until he was 9months!

I had my dd just before the carrycot came out so I had the cocoon. I was happy with it, we'll use it again if we have another DC. My dd is also quite small so I was also using it until she was about 6 months when she then wanted to sit up all the time in the pushchair.

I just had the cocoon, and both of mine have loved it - they enjoyed feeling all snuggled up I think.

You're telling me exactly what I wanted to hear - thank you!
