Buggy for infant schooler?

We are looking at the maclaren major for dd.
She about 1m 10 tall and 22 kilos.

She mostly walks, but has a lot of hypermobility in all her joints.
And she has asthma.

If both of these issues get worse at the same time, she needs a buggy.

Is the mac our only option?

The Buggaboo Buffalo goes up to 26 kilos or beyond I think. It is not cheap but you can find them second hand on Gumtree etc. I'm a buggy addict and I have to say it's my favourite out of all my 9 so far :)

I quite like this one from Recaro. My nephew, who's heavier than your dd, quite often sits in our Recaro.

Babyjoggers have a good max weight limit. Check out the US sites for specifications as the UK are limited to 20kg or something.
Baby Jogger Summit x3 is the biggest and max is 75lbs which is about 34kg so loads of from yet. I think my DD managed she she was about 5 and she is massive.
Mac Maj are horrid to push.

Depends on your DD but another option could be a wheelchair; especially for school trips and going in and out of school. I dreaded moving to a WC but the difference in the way other people and children treated her was marked. In a WC people know there is a reason and go out of their way to help you. In a buggy I felt we got dirty looks and snide comments as she "looks so normal" 😡
