Pushchair wth extendable handles

Hi All,

My first post :-) I have often read threads but only just signed up as I see how helpful you all!

I have searched the forums and can't quite find the info I'm looking for....

Has anyone come across any lightweight pushchair/buggy's that specifically have extendable handles?

It seems to me all prams (the ones that have carrycot then the adjustable seats) all have extendable handles, but once your kid gets bigger and you want a lightweight buggy, the handles are all fixed.

I'm short so it is no issue for em, but my husband is tall, so when pushing a buggy with fixed handles his feet clip on the bottom of the buggy so he has to take much smaller steps, so it just isn't practical.

We do have a normal pram chair which is fantastic, but big and we are wanting to travel so need something light and collapsable. Ideally a McLaren would have done the job...if the handles adjusted.

Hmmm, any advice welcome.

i know the Maclaren techno xlr is a stroller with extendable handles... if you've got best part of £250 to spend. But that's the only stroller-type buggy I've heard of that has extending handles.

Otherwise I think you might be stuck with one of the bigger travel system-type things I fear.

We have a nuna pepp luxx which has extendable handle but it's not an umbrella fold. We travel a lot, including abroad and it's a good stroller. We have the same problem as you and there are none under £200 with umbrella fold and extendable handles.

I've got a my babiie MB51 stroller and that had two adjustable handle heights.

I'm selling a second hand maclaren xt that was only used for holidays and days out. Both DH and I are tall so it saved our backs!

Petit star zia is lightweight and has extendable handles.

Thanks so much for all your feedback! I will look into all of these and see which works best, sounds like we may have a couple of options.

Funny isn't it...prams are mostly used when mums are on maternity leave so don't really need the adjustable handles so much. Strollers when baby gets older and you're more likely on days out and holidays, when husband/partner is about.

I think I have a business idea, who's in?! :-)

We have a Micralite Super-lite which is a great light weight umberella fold buggy. The handles don't extend but you can buy extensions that attach to make them longer for taller people.

Cosatto unicorn has extended handles

I have a silver cross reflex and the handles extend on that it's an umbrella fold pushchair.

I like the Cosatto but the colours were a bit much for my husband :-)

Think we will find a stockist for the silver cross reflex and try that out as a nice boring colour for my husband as well as doing exactly what we need and looking like it is good quality and sturdy.
