Bugaboo bee5 compatibility

Hello,
We're thinking of buying the bugaboo bee5 for our first child (I'm very petite so want something light, easy to fold, and parent facing). Hoping to use the baby cocoon as I believe it can fold with that attached? But we'd also like to get the cybex cloud q car seat that can lie flat. I can't see anything online about the compatibility of the two. Does anyone know if they can be used together?

No - the bee isn't compatible with the cloud, but is with the aton - I'm guessing something to do with the additional weight of the lay-flat mechanism - I own both (but a bee3) and wouldn't be 100% confident that the bee wouldn't tip with the cloud - especially if you had a bag on there too. Friend just bought a bee5 and went with a maxi cosi pebble plus instead. For what it's worth, I LOVE both the bee and the cloud.

Thanks for replying. That's a shame, looks like we'll have to choose between the bee and the cloud. As you have both, which would you change? Do you just not use the cloud on a pushchair then?

I have two prams - the bee was a late purchase when I realised there was more to life than lugging an enormous travel system round with me the whole time. I would keep the bee and switch the car seat if I had to choose - not because I don't like it, but the bee makes life proportionally easier! The cloud is great IF your baby likes being in a car seat - DD sadly decided at about 6 weeks old that she didn't! Even with the lie flat I still ended up having to take her out of it a lot of the time. It's also HEAVY. However, it's BRILLIANT for when baby falls asleep in the car - whip them out, lie flat and leave in a quiet room/on the pram - sorted! No worries about them being there too long. It also feels sturdy and very safe in the car, and I like the side impact feature. In terms of the bee - the only thing I would say is that it has absolutely no off-road capabilities whatsoever, especially on gravel, and is also a nightmare on cobbles. Other than that it's great!

Thanks so much for that. Think we'll stick with the bee then and choose another car seat. If the cloud is heavy then I might struggle to lift it plus baby for very long anyway

hi @Lapin387 , QQ did you find a lay flat car seat for the Bee5? i am considering that too as i don't want a massive travel system as i think i will use a carrier more. Thanks :)
